Welcome to The byrizz Rehab & Performance Podcast episode number 20. In this episode, I speak to Marco Altini. Marco is a scientist and developer mainly working at the intersection between health, technology, and performance. He has a Ph.D. in Data Science and an MSc in Computer Science Engineering as well as another MSc in Human Movement Sciences, with a specialization in High-Performance Coaching.
Marco started HRV4Training in 2012, making it a tool that is today trusted by more than 150 000, including Olympic medalists and professional teams. HRV4Training is a mobile platform using advanced signal processing and data analytics to measure physiology and quantify stress, helping athletes of all levels to better balance training and lifestyle stressors to improve performance.
Marco is currently working with product development of the HRV4 Training app and research (clinical studies, insights, new features development from user-generated data, and large scale data analysis) as well as producing and delivering educational material on the topic of HRV, stress, and performance. He is also a guest lecturer at Vrije University in Amsterdam where he teaches at the Physiology Section of the Department of Human Movement Sciences.
